Lighted tunnels Freski and Kostanjica

The cycling route Parenzana contains historical and technical heritage, and the most impressive are: 9 tunnels, 11 bridges and 6 viaducts.
The two tunnels were the subject of recent renovations, more precisely they were lighted by lighting on solar power. In the beginning of 2018, the tunnel Freski was lighted for a total length of 146 m and in the second half of the year tunnel Kostanjica for a total length of 70 m.
The tunnels were lighted primarily for safety reasons, for safe and unobstructed passage through the bicycle route, and undoubtedly have increased the attractiveness of the route itself.
