IZOLA

IZOLA

Izola may be rightly called the Town of Parenzana. At the eastern entrance to the town there is the P3 locomotive displayed in a glass pavilion and the town centre hosts a small Parenzana Museum. The railway station building at Izola was of the second category, but due to the importance of the station and the lack of space, a storey was added to the passenger building in 1908. The main building and a part of ancillary facilities are perfectly preserved to this day.
